Need some advice. I did a "Search" on this board and it yielded very little. Sooooo....
QUESTION: What is/are the best drifts in a 16"x54" driftboat for winter steelheading on the Humptulips? Directions a plus. Drift gear and plugging. Would like to fish for about 6-8 hrs between launches. Some whitewater is OK.
HISTORY: I just found out that I will be staying in Ocean Shores for a few days beginning 12/29/00 and wanted to drift the Humptulips while I'm there. I can always do the usual to figure a river out (Drive around, ask, river maps, etc) but thought I would post it here, as I am stuck at "work" for 2 days.
BACKGROUND: I fish a-lot but have never drifted the Humptulips. I am not a permanent threat as I live too far away and drive over too many other great rivers to make the Humptulips a habit.
TRADE INFO: If I can help ya with some info on any of the rivers I fish (All rivers downstream of Dalles dam on both sides of Col Rvr north to Nemah Rvr, south to Siletz) let me know.

Whazzup? Check out the boat launch site for instruction on how to get there. http://boat.iac.wa.gov/. I like the bluff hole down to reynvaan bar. Its a long float though but its got a ton of good water and is the only float inbetween those two points unless ya know someone. Good luck and tight lines

You can do the stevens creek to ryanvanns or a closer one for you would be the dike access to 101 take out.Follow the site all ready mentioned above.Good luck,
