Gilmour's solo on comfortably numb is imo the best of all time.

His tone is impeccable. His technique is flawless, never flashy, never over embellished, always plays for the song and not for the solo. He is tasteful, melodic, and really,as good as Jeff Beck. There,I said it. I think David Gilmour belongs in the discussion regarding greatest rock players of all time. For me anyway.

Lest you all think that I am a straight rocker in my musical tastes, I am rocking my classic country playlist as I pack up my downtown office to move it to my home office for a couple of weeks...
A couple of highlights...
And, yes, there is always a little Willie on tap...
...with Waylon? Fuckk yes.
And there always has to be a sprinkling of Johnny...this one's my favorite...
And last, but not least, the perfect "country and western song"...says so, right in the song!
...and all of that is just the beginning. There's a decent chance that if it's older than 1980 it's worth a listen...if it's new than 1990, it's probably the worst music ever created, so far as "country" music goes.

Very well said, I totally agree 100%. That's what great about music it brings People together! I'm not going lie, this last week has been pretty hard on me...I can't stop worrying about my Parent's, they're both 83 and in the strike zone. My Ipod and youtube have been a godsend.

It's been tough all over. My dad called me last night and he isn't doing well emotionally. If he gets this he is done for. Diabetic, damaged lungs, just had back surgery. I'm lucky in that I have work ahead of me,although I don't know how I'll make payroll. These people will have to work with me if they want their jobs done. Can't see my lady ,she decided to go stay with her dad and grandmother and step mother, which baffles me,but some people have a hard time being alone. As for me I am pretty content,as long as I can work a little and pay the bills.

Toddod - your last post was orgasmic. Well done ya knucklehead.
I've been listening to a lot of old school these days. Tribe, De La, PE, EPMD, Eric B, Cube, Slick Rick, Boogie Down, Pharcyde et al. The Bomb Squad for the win.
And the single greatest rap song of all time....

I realize my last post will be missed by 99.9% of the folks here. That's ok my fellow rednecks. Black people won't bite you and infect you with the Corona. It'll be ok - I promise.
