They put on one of the best live shows I've seen. And the ladies at that concert...............jeezus.

The pu$$y at those shows back in the day was unreal,but Dan would appreciate this. AC/DC at the Cow Palace in SF ,Razor's Edge show,had a larger assortment of hot ass chicks than any concert I've been to before or since. My friend tried to sneak a fifth of Wild Turkey in and got busted,so the security gave us 2 choices,drink it or pour it out. So we drank it between the 3 of us in about 5 minutes,I would have been unconscious if it hadn't been for the speed and lsd . Times were wild back then,and it seemed like there was a fun-ness to it all that is lacking in today's society. Maybe it was the acid.

As a young rocker in Seattle in the early 80s, those shows were amazing.

All those pretty rocker chicks thought it was pretty cute that a 13 or 14 year old kid was at the metal shows...and were generous with their appreciation.

Judas Priest, Iron Maiden...Twisted Sister opened for Iron Maiden not long before Stay Hungry came out...that was quite a surprise to see them for the first time! Dee Snider is hands down one of the coolest dudes, amazing showman, and stand up guy for the industry, period.

My very first cassette tape was Twisted Sister and I still have it laying around somewhere. Got it in 3rd grade I believe. Mom wholly regretted it.

Dee Snider is as solid of a person as can be. Intelligent, articulate, big heart and all around great guy. Him, Zappa and Denver OWNED the congressional PMRC. They wanted Vince Neil to testify because they knew they could bully him and get bad responses. Instead, they got Dee - whom promptly handed them their asses on a platter.

Why oh why would anyone ever call in Zappa as "controlled" opposition? That's just asking for a severe mental beatdown for the ages. Al & Tippers' butts are still sore.

Don't forget Rob Halford, he was right in there with them during those days, even if his was in court instead of in the Congressional hearings...

Halford, Snider, Denver...Zappa! I'd take those four over any four Congressmen, any day, if we're going to make a case.

Denver was the kill shot at the PMRC though. They all LOVED Denver and his music. He called em' Nazi book burners straight to their faces. Ouch.

I'll never forget Halford, the best voice in metal/r/r. Paul rodgers being a close second.

There were a lot of great vocalists in those days,Ronnie James Dio,Ian Gillan,Steve Perry,Freddie Mercury.
