At this moment, the putative leader of the free world has been judged too unstable and dishonest to even have a Twitter account.

Half the sycophantic cultists in the Senate that were set to object to the electoral college votes bailed this afternoon. They always knew he is a fraud, they just didn't care as long as he got them what they wanted.

Now, even with only 14 days left, he is a liability. His only saving grace is that his ballwashers and cult members in the electorate are still too busy with a mouthful of his junk.

They were calling Pence the president tonight. I haven't watched CSPAN in years...boring.

As VP technically he is the president of the Senate. If the 25th is invoked he could be the president up until 14 days. At least Pence had the decency to call in the National Guard and denounce the terrorism.

When your cabinet members are leaking that they're looking for ways to neuter you because you're too unstable to have around for another two weeks, it's pretty bad.

Probably not enough time to do anything but ignore him.

Funny how when the violence the objectors encourage becomes violence in their own face, well it's suddenly come to jesus time.

Here's some HOPE for you...Professor of American History at Boston College, Heather Cox Richardson, has predicted Donald Trump will resign from the Presidency soon. She has stated the resignation could come as early as tomorrow, by midnight. There's indication that some serious discussions are being held tonight by DC powerbrokers regarding Trump's declining mental state, and his ability to lead after inciting his followers to riot at the Capitol. His staffers are resigning. His tweets have gotten so bizarre, his social media accounts have been blocked. Lotsa BIG and small names are urging Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment. Professor Richardson predicted the violence in DC, several days ago. I wouldn't be surprised if she were correct on this call either.

Even if they did vote to invoke the 25th amendment, all Trump has to do is contest it and then it goes to Congress for a vote.
Not enough time.

Read something where the process can be dragged out 21 days, during which time Trump would be President in name only; Pence would assume all real duties of the Presidency. With only 14 days to go, Congress would not be required to make the vote. The other thing is, would Trump fight removal, or agree to resign. Maybe the pardon from federal crimes gets negotiated then. Several others have said all along that Trump would resign before his term was over. He's made enemies of most of his "friends". Loyal staffers are saying, "FU!" None of the Congressional leaders fear him anymore. At this point he is just bad news for the country...might as well quit and get lotsa golf in before his legal problems start.

Fox News sounds like MSNBC in going after Trump and the protesters.

I wonder if that will last even through tomorrow.

Bill Barr, half of Congress, they are all bagging on him now...but don't for one second forget who Trump's enablers have been for the past five years.

They thought he would be a useful idiot like Reagan, or GW Bush, but he's far too much of a malignant narcissist, fraud, and con man to play that role...and while everyone else knew it, his enablers in the GOP ignored it so they could give the ultra-rich a gigantic tax break, and his ballwashers think he is neato, because they think he is rich, classy, and smart.

Turning on him now with 14 days left in this disaster of a Presidency doesn't get them off the hook for being the cause of it.
