Hey everyone,
I fished metzlers today for about 4 or 5 hours and only saw one caught which was a summer run. What amazed me the most though is that on the drive back I'm used to seeing about 12-15 vehicles between metzlers and soos creek at most and today I counted 47!!! If the fishing was red hot then I'd understand but the fish I saw caught was all I heard of.

I was one of the 47 you saw. Lots of fisherman sighted but no fish. Heard of two caught by a fella in a drift boat, lots of those around too. Thought for sure we would've at least touched a fish today, but no luck.

In search of something new (other than my hometown Carbon River) I explored the upper Green river this weekend. Set off looking for the "Gorge". Fished at Flaming Geyser, with no results, then followed my Thomas Guide through Black Diamond to Green River Gorge Road. Followed it and found the Gorge (Cool one-lane only bridge across it), but couldn't find a place to fish. Ended up at Palmer-Kanskak(????) Park. No results. Sunday I parked by the one-lane bridge and hiked down to the river. Had to use a rope that was there to go down the last 10 feet. Watched the kyak-ers, but no fish. Back to Flaming Geyser again-again no fish. So, I have a question. Is there an easier way to get down into the Gorge without repelling down cliffs?? Thanks for any info.

You can park at the south side of the enumclaw/black diamond bridge. good path to river. there use to be a way into the gourge behind the black diamond gun range. but they blocked the access road off. could still get there but would be long walk in waders. There are some good holes at the upper end of flammng park. did you find those ?
