FYI, just finished a great experience with a warranty claim on a STR IMX 1084C G. Loomis rod. I have had this rod about 4-5 years. It has been through all kinds of trials. I fish it about 75% of the time for my Steelhead.
Stupid mistake: I was making a cast out of the driftboat with another rod with a 1/8 oz. jig. The jig caught the 1084 and I did not notice. As I make the pitch with the jig rod, the jig knocks out the top 3 ceramic guides outta their guide seats on the 1084. The round ceramic pieces were now sliding up and down the 1084 mainline. AAAAUUUGGH! I take it to G. Loomis in Woodland and they tell me it would be 7-10 days but it is free. They called me 2 days later and I went and picked it up, good as new. All is right in the universe again.

I usually carry a tube of super-glue and have glued many ceramic inserts back while on the river.fp

Hey x I know how you feel, my beloved 1141 has been unfortunately snapped twice once clearly my fault and once who knows what went wrong, both times they gave me a loaner rod while mine was being repaired. My last rod is a 10 foot lami herzog model for floats, I made a bonehead move in the dark with a silver on this fall and snapped the tip, took it to back to lami, they weren't to enthusiastic about fixing it since it was user error but did anyway (after some pleading on my part), although they took there sweet time (18 days).
