Sorry all for glitches. I haven't been able to pinpoint exact problem, but did some cache and database optimization and hopefully do the trick. I might suggest you clear all cookies from forum via your profile and perhaps that may help too.

Is there any fishing in the Philippines, Eddie? Like many older, single guys... the idea of living there intrigues me! grin

4Salt, there is a little bit, however the sports fishing industry is really in its infancy. A city the size of Seattle would have 1 or 2 tackle stores and a very few boats that will take trips. River fishing is not done much and is totally confined to the tidal areas. If you think conservation is not done well in the PNW, you ain't seen nothing until you see the Philippines. There are areas in the salt that are sanctuaries, but the local commercial guys end up catching a big number of 10" fish that are sold in fish markets or on the side of the road. There are many positives about living in the Philippines, however fishing is not one of them! I have lived here 5.5 years and am happy to have a discussion with you (probably on Private Message) about my findings about this beautiful country. Having said that, my fiance and I are moving back to the US this year - and so it goes!

Do they still do up the jeeps and buses like post WW2? Amazing what you can do with a jeep and bus.

Probably depends on what you're fishing for.
