Launched at 0'dark thirty to fish the Zipperlip Banks. Hooked a few, lost one right at the boat. Then right after we were wondering where Comrade Kamala is going to get the money for the $6000/yr child tax credit and the $25,000 homebuyer bonus since we're like already broke and heavily in debt but before we started joking about how they have the vasectomy van outside the Democratic National Convention but it's unnecessary because everyone knows liberals don't have any balls--the rod folds over. The fish fought like Biden struggling to spit out a sentence reading off the teleprompter. We netted that Great MAGA King then told the previously mentioned DNC vasectomy joke.



We put the rods back out and after losing another 2 fish finally a third stayed on. This one is a bit smaller in a size, but it was the Great MAGA King 2: Electric Boogaloo. Even though it's a bit on the short side but I took Dan S the fish and put the wood shampoo to him!

Yuppers, there was a couple of good bites happening at the the ole ZLB, as well as the Snag Piles. The wired guys were smoking em this morning, while the wireless - maybe not so much.

Saturday should be epic out there if the weather allows.

I haven't seen any ho's caught yet there although I'm sure there are some. I'm still targeting kangz. I ran into Offdahook the other day and his buddy got 2 ho's in the river on the opener so if they are in the river, then they are probably out front still too.

We were fishing in shallower than most, caught some at 60-75 feet in about 80 feet of water, then some at 80 feet in 90-100 of water. We were like the most inner boat of the fleet. Even after we were catching and people saw us, nobody moved in closer. There was a ton of bait out there with no fish on it as well. Some with fish, obviously. But follow the bait, if it's shallow fish it.

While I was following the birds to the bait, I noticed that there are a ton of like really small seagulls there. They are much smaller than usual. Did you notice this? I haven't seen little gulls like that before, they might be a different species or something.

Yes, we did notice the small sea birds hanging around the area. Looked like Terns, and jabbered constantly - worse than the local Gulls “Mine, Mine, Mine” yackery.

The fish we saw taken yesterday were in tight and shallow as well. One wired dude came in and made two or three short (200 yd-ish) and very shallow water runs inside the jig flippers. He hit two nice fish, released one, then left saying the little bite had died...

Heading out again Saturday or Sunday if my buds can make it down here.

Excellent work there, flatbrim! Poor Dan S. fish. Lots to feel sorry for there.
