I posted this on the community forum. Good friend and great guide Richie Underwood pass last week. Richie and I used to text each other when we both underwent Chemo at different locations. His was clearly more advanced than mine. Richie was also on the tribal Council when I
was hired to direct the law enforcement programs 10 years ago. Richie was a great guide and a better human being, RIP my friend.

I never did fish with Richie, but I knew him from hanging / fishing with a few of his brothers in the Quinault tribal guide community.

RIP Richie

Don't post much here anymore but had to take a few seconds to say what an amazing person Richie was. He's the guy that would go out of his way for anyone. Everyone loved him and he loved them back. I spoke with him a few weeks ago while he was in the hospital and he was in high spirits asking how everyone else was. Said he couldn't wait to get out of there so we could go fish. Told him I didn't care about fishing and just wanted to make sure he was doing alright. That right there personifies the kind of guy he was. He will be missed immensely! RIP brother.

Never knew him, but now that I'm considering hiring a QIN guide one of these days, I'm sorry to hear Richie is gone. Sounds like he was a good one. RIP.
