Don'tcha' just love it when voters get what they voted for?
So let’s get this straight. JD Vance spent years screaming about vaccine mandates, but now his own family is facing the very real consequences of ignoring medical guidelines. They trust transplant surgeons, but they don't trust vaccines?
"An Indiana family says Cincinnati Children's hospital won't put their 12-year-old daughter on its heart transplant waiting list because of her vaccination status.
Janeen Deal, who is related by marriage to Vice President JD Vance's half-siblings, said the hospital requires her daughter to receive COVID-19 and flu vaccinations, which Janeen and her husband are unwilling to do. Vaccines are recommended for transplant recipients because those patients have a much higher risk for infections."
A couple of Florida lawmakers who’ve been vocal cheerleaders of Donald Trump’s immigration crackdowns are now asking him to spare some of their constituents. Florida Reps. Carlos Gimenez and Mario Diaz-Balart have sent the Trump administration letters, begging for some assurances that Venezuelans who were previously protected won’t get the boot. The letters are a stark turnaround for the two Republican lawmakers. In late January, Gimenez sounded confident that Trump's harsh immigration policies wouldn't touch his district.
Trump won Alabama by....(checks notes) 30 points. Enjoy the FO stage, it's just beginning. The Huntsville Utilities is notifying its customers that they are going to be billed an extra $100 because Trump’s executive order has rescinded the grant that provided funding to a federal grant to energy utilities.
Oh, another upset family in the greater D.C. area that voted for Trump. Seems the military veteran went to work for the federal government after leaving the military and has now lost his job. Shucks; elections have consequences!
Or this: Interior Secretary Doug Burgum issued an executive order late Monday directing his deputies to submit a plan to him within 15 days for opening more federal lands to more mining, including national monuments currently off limits to mining. Are national parks next?
And here’s one from Mississippi, which voted Trump by 22 points: the Prentiss Country Sheriff’s Department announced closure of Midsouth Foodback that deliveries are suspended until further notice.
And Georgia, which voted Trump by I don’t know how many points: FEMA to Governor Kemp, denying direct federal assistance cost share waivers related to debris removal and emergency protective measures. Prez Musk and ass’t. prez Trump want you to just fix it yer own selves!
And Trump voter Jason Grizzard’s disabled child receives special funds from DOE to Margret Murphy Schools. He wants anything cut from DOE except the very important part that special needs depends on, meaning his kid should be taken care of, and he doesn’t give a rat’s azz about anybody else. Ha ha!
Or another Trump-voting veteran, wounded and wheelchair bound, got a GI-Bill education and a federal job advertised as work remote. Great, since getting in and out of the car with his wheelchair and into and from an office is problematic. And now the Return to Office EO rewards the wounded vet and says his “reasonable accommodation” is no longer authorized. Don’tcha’ love it when voters get the government they deserve?
And just days after Trump ended the “de minimus” exception for small shipments from China, more than a million packages piled up at JFK airport. Are they exempt or not, Donald?
At Mar a Largo a bizarre golden hoofed goat idol is on display. The idol is wrapped in Trump $100 bills that say “In Trump We Trust.” The idol’s base says, “I love you” along with Trump’s signature. I could swear the Bible says something about this . . .
