Ok so my normal fishing buddy is doing soccer during April and everyone else is confined to weekends. So I'm looking for someone who wants to go fish the Cowlitz out of my driftboat in April during the week. This is for winter steelhead.

Basically just bring a spinning rod with 12lb test so we can side drift with roe and have matching line that drifts at the same rate. I mean I have a basic side drifting rod you could use too but it's just like a cheap one so if you got your own it's probably better. I'm usually using corky/yarn/roe but got fish pills, yarnballs, rags, pink worms, hard beads and soft beads too. I've got a set of baitcaster plug rods to use for divers/bait or u20 flatfish if we feel like using them. You could also bring a spin/bait bobber rod too. If you have waders they are nice but not strictly necessary, I'll be wearing them. Bring your own vehicle to do the turn around. We could also do the Kalama maybe instead.

Send a PM with your details and phone number. It might take me a few days to respond because I don't log in every day. If you were somebody I've fished with before we can fish again, if you are new that's cool too. You can be a big poster or not post at all or can be an ultra maga jan 6 insurgent or can even be the biggest liberal douche of all time. I'm pretty much exactly in person like I am on this site so peruse my posts if you want to know what you are signing up for. I'll bring the ski masks and maybe we can post some upside down fish pics. I've had the driftboat since 2007 so probably won't kill you but you know rivers are inherently dangerous so no guarantees. I'm not a guide so I'm not charging anything, I'm actually saving $40 by not paying for the shuttle in exchange for your boat ride and the boat fishes better with two anglers anyway.

Best Open Seat/ Spring Steelhead offer on the Net hands down !

Possibly, only bested by an open seat with one of the local hatchery broodstocking gangs - maybe !

Oh so tempting......

An opportunity to fish with the mighty Fish Prince! PPers should be all over this. Should be a good time.

Yeah so far the only PM is from Rich G who wants to know if I really think he is batsh!t insane. Of course I told him yes so I don't think he's going to go with me so I'm putting him down as a maybe. Anyway the Cowlitz is at 9,620 cfs right now and I like it below 8,000 cfs for the driftboat. So we are playing the waiting game. So anyone can still PM.

FP and I have had many good fishing days together, and catching days, at that...I don't want to ruin his reputation, but he's only about 45% as much of a clown in person that he is on the internet.

Fish on...
