Does anybody know where to find small diameter clear plastic tubing? I would speculate that this may be carried as a medical supply.
I already found the backer rod. I just want to insert the clear tubing into the foam backer rod.

Try oil pressure line from an automotive store.Or use stir straws like they have at 7-11 thats what I use.As far as my rags I don't use any tubing I thread mine on I use the tubing on my floats only.Make sure the stir straws are the smaller diameter and thick you can just cut them on an angle and they shove right threw, then I use a hot glue gun to hold them in place .TM

Thanks for the reply Timberman. I'll check out the auto parts stores for the tubing. Still need to pick up the yarn needles and some 1 to 1 1/2 in. foam rod for the floats.

I have yet to find foam large enough in diameter for floats. What do you use?

Found some at NAPA. Balkamp BK 770-1540, 1/8 " OD Nylon 12.
Addict, I havn't found any backer rod above 5/8", for floats, either. I'm looking for 1 to 1 1/2 ".

The plastic stir sticks works great, if you want a larger diameter float try a chunk of dense foam with a hole saw any size you want, works great...Os

Try plastic Q-tips for the rag and aerofly tubes. Clip off both ends, and you have a tube. The tube is not long enough for float, unless you get a denser foam, or put the tubes at angles at both ends.

What diameter tubing are you looking for? What properties are you looking for in this tubing? I can get it as long as you want in 1/8"

The tubing for the floats, rags and tube flies are all available from most electronic parts distributors. It is used for insulating bare wire and comes in a wide range of diameters. I don't think that Radio Shack would have it.
