Me and a buddy drifted the sky on saturday and not more than 45 min into the drift we had a hell of a bruiser on. It took at least 25 minutes to land the beutiful beast and he was released without harm. Id say it was a solid 24 to 25 pounds this brute had massive girth and was absolutly chrome. Biggest steelhead ever caught out of my boat. What a line peelin machine he was. Absolutly awesome. One problem though I left the frickin camera behind the seat of my truck. We were both very bumed and Im still sick about it. Oh well at least we landed this awesome monster and got to look at it up close. All I can say is the big boys are here
fellas. Good luck and FISH ON!!!
Ed

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Ed,

I'm sure nothing will get the picture of that fish out of your mind, though. The camera is as essential to any good drift as the oars.......well, almost. Way to go, and congrats on a fish to be proud of!

Fish on.........

Believe me Dan I felt like a real winner when
I dumped all my gear all over the boat and realized I left it back at the truck. Oh well
Time to go catch another one!

I don't know about you but it seems that every time I forget the camera something worth burning a little film happens.

Gongrats on that monster!!!

Ed, I did the same thing about four weeks ago. I had to deliver a part in Monroe and about ½ hour to fish before dark. No camera no tape and then I caught the biggest steelhead of my life. Chrome bright and built like a football. This fish had the biggest girth I’ve ever seen on a steelhead for its length.

Don't you hate it when that happens. Here's one involving pictures that's even more sickening.

You know how sometimes auto-load cameras rewind film when the roll is shot but they leave the little tag end of the film sticking out? I had a roll that I took out of the camera and forgot to tuck the tag end into the canister. Later I grabbed the roll, reloaded it and shot pictures over what was already on it. I ended up ruining pictures from a trip to Alaska with my wife and a bunch of steelhead pics from BC

So don't feel too bad. You'll always remember that fish. And glad to hear you let it go. Wish there were more with the same common sense.

Bruce

The Sky's a bit of a drive for me, but I may just have to make it. I've never fished the Sky myself, all I know is that Reiter is/was the hotspot. If any of you would like to share some tips with me and you don't want everyone to know, please send to sparhawk@citylinq.com.

I normally fish the Snoqualmie, has anyone been doing any good there?

BTW, I'll be fishing from the bank, so I'll need info on bank fishing spots.

Were any of you guys floating in the drift boat called with the name "lucky Strike"
on the side last Saturday? They were the only ones that we talked to that had a fish.
