How far do you want to drive?. Most of our local rivers are closed march 1st this year, unless you fly fish for trout, there are rivers on the Olympic Peninsula that will offer good fishing that time of year with 2 1/2 hrs + a ferry ride for travel time. As for a guide, our host Bob Ball will show you a good time, You can contact him thru this site, or you can E-Mail me direct for more local area info.

Everything around Seattle is closed this spring

It's about three hours out to our area ... I still have 3 or 4 days left in April - I usually use the last two weeks as rain-out reschedule time, but since we've had very few of those this season, I haven't had to move too many people into that timeframe. If our schedules don't match up, I can get you set up with one of the other area guides as well.

Typically, we're still targeting wild steelhead at that time, but there will be a few springers milling around in the Sol Duc, so they're a possibility as well ... if they come early as they did last year, we actually had quite decent fishing for springers in late April.

You can drop me an email at rlball@olypen.com if you'd be interested in one of the late April dates.
