To all of you eastern oregon pioneers, i can't wait for for those 10,000 or so fish this spring when's the earliest you all are going to hit the umatilla for these beautiful fish? What's going to be your weapons of choice. We had good luck with #4 red blue fox.

April 19, right after i kill my Gobbler. I can hardley wait either. Last year was a dream come true. We hammered them on good roe and floats. I do not fish hardware. I did catch a few on my jigs. If you can try to stay away from 3-mile. It was a bloodbath there. To many criminals snagging them on the wall. Not fishing to me. I like the upper river where you are fishing. There is so many beautiful holes in the upper river and the fish were still chrome. We are trying to get to Game wardens to patrol 3-mile to get rid of the trailer trash that snags them and plays them until they are dead and releases the. Many people were fishing even though they had there 10 fish annual harvest and playing them until they were totally exhausted, then releasing them. It was sickeneing. There was also many fights there over fish. The first week in may will be screaming hot if we have the water. It should be the best year we have ever had on the umatilla.
Have a nice day! steve

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Steve,

Haven't heard from you for a while, glad to see you're still getting after the fish. I've been putting your jigs to good use on the Wynoochee and Satsop this year. They have been outstanding producers.

Sounds like you guys down ther are expecting a LOAD of springers this year. Should be good action for you. I know you did really well last year, and they're expecting almost double the number of fish from last year in most systems. Good luck.......

Fish on.......

Dan
