And I thought I was addicted to fishing. I had been telling my 5 year old that as soon as he lost his first tooth that I would "take him to Ted's" to pick out something of his choice (a dangerous offer to anyone over 5 years old). Two nights ago right after "teeth brushin" he tells me that his tooth felt like it might almost be out. I looked down and noticed that it looked close. In a state of near hysteria about the possibility of his tooth finally being almost out he made one last verification that the Ted's deal was "still on". As I uttered the words "the deal is still on" he reached into his mouth and yanked his own tooth out. Not exactly the instantaneous response that I was expecting. Gave me the creeps. He got a rapala. -Old Chum

Kids do the darndest things. God love 'em. My girl is 4 and there is never a dull moment.

If he'll yank a tooth for a Rapala, what do you think he will do when its time for a car?

Congratulations to both you and your 5-year old! My five year old lost his first, then second just in the last two months. Only, we didn't have a "Ted's deal", but the tooth fairey did come through.

When I was younger my parents would say something like if you do this chore Ill run you up to Teds or I would make the offer to do something if they took me to Teds to spend a few bucks...and now I work there.
