Im am an enthusiast steelheder from Italy, but, this year I do not have my holidays in the "classic" time for winter and fall steelhead.I have available only next August:
colud you suggest me any good river in your Country for good "summer" steelhead fly-fishing?

Hi there,
You will want to go to B.C. Canada. ( Sceena river system.) Rivers like the Kispiox, Copper, Morrice, Bulkey rivers. Thease rivers get good in late Augest thru october. It is the best summer run steelheading you will find on this planet. Especialy if you are fly fishing.

Another recommendation would be the Deschutes river in North central Oregon.
The summer run in August is starting to peak. Deschutes steelhead are very responsive to flies fished on a floating line. Also take a 5wt for some world class trout angling.

I had already visit in the past years the rivers you suggest me, in the end of September and in October, with good results.
I would like to visit and know other rivers, if possible in your Country (Washington or Oregon).I read ( i do not remember where) about Cowlitz river good for summer steelie:

The Cowlitz has a pretty good run of Summer Fish. Don't see too many flyfisherman though. I think they are probably concerned about getting run over by all of the sleds. You might find a bit of peace and quiet between the Barrier dam and Blue Creek, but below that be prepared for combat fishing at its finest.
