The pink worm is a staple in BC. I fish snakes hard, the 4 inch, in pinks and white. I've never used one that is meant to float though. Always fish it under a float with a short leader(12-18 inches). Late season steelies love them.

I like the Vision worms under a float. They have a killer life-like action.

Wormies, wormies everywhere! Gotta love 'em. Both the floaters and sinkers work well ... just depends upon your preference on how to fish them. I'm usually using floaters myself ... got a guy in Minnesota who does up 1000 of them for about $70.00 just the way I like 'em!

I've been looking for worms, havent noticed the "pink",yet. Head hunter sounds like an interesting place to get serious about hunting, so where are they available.
On another note... Bob: what's a "conehead"? I've never heard the term before, and no-one I know or have asked does, either. But you've used the term 3 times that I've seen. ?????

Has anybody tried running a pink worm behind a baitdiver? I've tried only a couple times this year with no luck. I't seems to have really good action as it's pulled against the current. But maybe the presentation is to slow, does anybody have any experiance with this method.

The Dec/Jan issue of Fishing Holes has an article about rigging pink worms. Even mentions the bait diver method.

I luv the pink worm and I've had good luck with the powerbait bubblegum 4" version and recently the "sluggo" from lunker city on jigheads. The buck at the link below was caught (and released) under very low clear conditions with the sluggo. Nice buck. Bruce (do a search here in bob's site for pink worms and you'll find more than you want to know.) [This message has been edited by B. Gray (edited 03-06-2001).]

I agree with Kid Sauk here. I got some 4" pink and white Vision worms to try out and give feedback on: well the feedback is positive as I had 2 nail them. One on the pink and one on the white, driftfishing them. Going to put them under a bobber next weekend. I like the action and especially the size in this low and clear water. Hey Justin, did ya hear that I got a kitty for the rivers now?

hey_yall, heard about your cat. Joe said it was pretty nice and you were not too bad on the sticks. Now you don't have to be a bankie unless you want to.

I HAVE USED SEVERAL TYPES AND SIZES OF WORMS. I HAVE FOUND THAT THE HEAD HUNTER BRAND KILLER WORM #303 WHICH IS A 3IN. BUBBLE GUM COLORED WORM HAS BEEN WORKING BEST, ESPECIALLY WITH THE LOW CLEAR WATER CONDITIONS WE HAVE BEEN SEEING ON MOST OF THE RIVERS HERE IN THE N.W. TRY FLOATING THEM UNDER A DINK FLOAT WITH SPLIT SHOT APPROX 5FT UNDER YOUR FLOAT, ADJUST ACCORDING TO WATER DEPTH. GOOD LUCK AND KEEP YOUR LINE TIGHT.

Pink is the 'go to' color of course. Don't overlook purple or black worms. I found a good black one with a very small chartruse lower tip on the end that looks promising; but haven't tried it yet. Also, for low clear winter steelhead, and especially summer steelhead, try using the real thing. Pinch off 4" of live nightcrawler and rig it on with a little bit of pink yarn. Drifting or floats work great. You might like to try hooking a 4" pink worm on a double hook sandshrimp rig to backtroll about 55" behind a Hot N Tot diver. Leave about 1 1/2" dangling for action, and the HnT puts even more action on them. Fish on! ... BTW, SAUKit gave me a pink conehead to try. It kind of looked like a giant pink sperm cell repleat with tail. You don't suppose Justin was trying to tell me something?
