Hope everyone has seen the new Shimano Curado BSF. Talk about one amazing reel and only $30 more then the standard Curado.

Comes with an aluminumn wiffle spool and also an aliminumnm preset. The finish is a beautiful light bronze with a greenish tint.

The feature that makes this reel so great is the fact that the spool totally disconnects from the pinion gear and spins on nothing but two bearings. Thus, the spool spins like a top, similar to the Chronarch and Calais but for alot less money.

Saw the "new Curado" at the Puyallup Sports show. As a long time user of the Curado, I didn't think they could improve on it......but guess what......Shimano did. They didn't have one in the left hand, at that time, hope they do. Great drag system, system, casts great........everything I've wanted in a reel......

Was in Ted's on Thus. Kent was showing that new Curado to a customer.What a reel!! Spool does spin like the Callcutta TE. Be great for throwing light tackle. They got in 50 that morning,both RH&LH.I bought #7 early in the day so they will probably go through them fairly quickly. Let's see how they work under a load.Any reports?

Nice reel for light weight tossing. Holds less line, but as often as I change mine it's not a big deal. I paid $150 for and it's worth every penny.

Hey, thanks for the info! that's not a bad price... I was expecting to have to take out a second mortgage on the house to buy one.
