Is it a 50/50 split per year or do the tribes need to catch up from the last 100 years? Or is it just till they are decimated? My god, this is crap. C

This latest closure is total c__p.

1. WDFW says they're changing to 100% spot-closures based on molt, but this closure is partially because they "are unable to test crab for softshell condition in all these areas at this time."

2. Areas 7 and 8 have been closed since early November, with no re-opening in sight. Upon asking, I was told they would open "according to historical molt schedules." So much for a more scientific approach.

3. How the h__l do they determine allocations? When do the yearly allocations begin and end? No one at WDFW will tell me. I think they're pulling it out of thin air, at the behest of whatever political wind is blowing at the time.

Arrrghhhhh!!!
