Just a note to the guys that ship goodies to other guys via the US Postal Service. A couple of years ago, Robbo was nice enough to try and send me some jig patterns for steelies via the Postal Service. On two seperate occasions, the stuff never showed up. Then finally, I got a tattered envelope from Robbo in the mail. It was empty. Being the cool guys that we are, we were able to figure out that the goodies had been shredded by the postal sorting equipment.

Just sent out some more treats today (On the way RT) and talked to the guy at the office. He told me that you should use a padded envelope, or create a cardboard sleeve for the envelope to keep the equipment from tearing it up.

Wanted to let you guys know, just in case you get the urge to mail a few fly patterns, or fishing goodies to a friend. Peace.

Thanks for the advice Hawk. And for the goodies on the way - even if they are stolen by employees gone 'postal' on us. ... Here's some more advice. If you hear about any layoffs at your local post office, stay out of there for awhile! eek

USPS has lost so many parcels shipped by us that we refuse to use there service unless specifically requested to by our customers. Even at that I will do my best to discourage our customers from shipping that way. Use UPS or some other carrier that offers tracking and known transit times.

Moral of the story is DON'T GO POSTAL!

Hmmm, Postal advice. I guess it depends on "which end of the barrel" you are on.

The postal advice I give is to walk fast in a zig-zag motion to and from counter to car, with the occasional ducking motion.

I guess the other one would be a sawed-off.

That would be good postal advice from both point-of-views. cool
