They look nice enough with good ankle support and they have a model with removable studs which is nice for the drift boat, but how are they in regards to durability?

I havent had any experience with the boots with the removable studs. I have had some experience with the Brookies. They are decent boot with an good idea but a simple design flaw that has nothing to do with their durabilty.

They are product of Kobuk though, which makes me a little suspect of their quality.

Thanks Sparkey, that's all you had to say. Anybody who sells to the Outdoor Euphorium is no friend of mine.

Sparky,
Chota is not "a product of Kobuk". So far as I know there is no connection at all. I have the SST Plus model with removable studs and they are, far and away, the most comfortable wading boots I've ever owned. I've only had them for a year but so far they're holding up just fine.

I have a pair with felt soles. The laces that came with the boots were some kind of elastic cord setup, crap in my opinion but easily replaced with regular laces after the elastic ones broke. The boots themselves have held up well to about a year and a half of moderate use.

Doesn't say Kobuk on any Chota box I've seen.

And the winner is? Uhh well...
Chota does some private labeling for Kobuk, but they are not affiliated in any other way. smile
