Got a new tow rig this weekend. Need to get a spray-in liner. Seems to be a lot of choices in product and businesses doing this work. Are these bedliner products all basically the same? Anybody have any recommendations for bedliner brands or businesses in the Seattle/Tacoma metro area? Thanks.

Id go with Arma Coat vs the other brands. Ive looked at them all and like the Arma Coat the best. Arma coat is sprayed on hot so it bonds better then the other brands.

Take a look at all of them and make a decision. Linex is really hard and tuff. Ryno is a bit rubbery and sprayed on cold. Arma Coat is right in the middle. Whatever you get I would recomend you take the surface your going to cover down to bear metal, the material will bond much better.

Most of the companies have life time warranties. Should be places in your area for each brand.

I have the Line X in my F-250, it is some tough stuff!!! I thought that it would be a little more rubbery than it is but I have no complaints with it. The only thing that I would do different is to have them cover the top of the side rails, I didn't and wish I would have. There is a lifetime warrenty, any nicks, chips or tears and they fix it for free.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff laugh laugh

i would have to agree with jeffhead get the tops done, didn't but wished i'd had line x has been good and there warranty is great even if you tear it because of carelessness they will repair it free, don't worry about taking it down to bare metal they will prep the bed for you good luck doug

Ditto on the Linex...I had the "over the rail" job done on my GMC when I bought it last year. The folks at Linex of Olympia did mine, and did a great job. I like it so much that we're thinking of having the inside of the sled Linex-ed.

After talking to both Line X and Rhino Liner, I went with Rhino on my 2000 GMC. Ultimately Rhino "sticks" on the bed much better because of the cold application. They also use more resin per square foot than anybody else. I did "over the rail" and am real glad I did. Mine was done in Kirkland at the junction of I-405 and 116th. They are in the phone book.

Are any of you guys running bed caps on your rigs? I need to have mine done too, but I have diamond plate caps on mine already. Should I just do it underneath?

Hey folks I sell this stuff all time, and arma coat sucks after it is on a truck for a while you can literally peel it up on the corners, and it fades fast, as for linex its real good stuff and it also goes on hot, it seems to hold real good, there is also toro its a lot like linex and its about 100$ cheaper. the one I get the most compliments on is the new lynn trux liner its about twice as tough as the rest, and there located in tacoma. this company is really giving line x a run for its money, because they were the ones that started line x in this area, its a real high quality liner, a lot of the car dealers in pierce county are switching to this because of its quality. I sell quite a few trucks and this is what my customers are saying. just give lynn trux a call and ask for Lynn. Just tell her that Bear referred you and they will give you a discount, remenber there in Tac, if you dont beleive me give any of the big truck stores a call, and see what they have to say. I have it on my drift boat trailer and its great, as you can tell I like it. just my 2cents cool

I have a bed liner in my truck(came with it ) and I like it because it protects the bed from dents where as the spray on type wont. If I do put something in there that might dent, it wont show anyway. I know they are slippery, but it makes it easier to clean out when you're hauling something that makes a big mess. Two pennies worth.........Fishhead Vic laugh

Fishhead,
The problem with the drop-in's is they move around and wear the paint off the bed. Moisture gets in there and then it rusts. If you need a liner, the spray on is THE only way to go.

I presently have a fiberglass drift boat, and have put on a coat of Coat-it. The bottom works pretty well, but...
I'll be trading up to a new boat pretty soon, and I'm thinking about having a coat of bed liner material shot on, and brushed smooth. Then over-coated w/ Coat-it.
Any input on the theory???

Uh, what's the theory??

They both protect the bottom of the boat, but I can't imagine both of them together will do anything but make your boat a lot heavier = BAD. Pick one, and go with it. I would go with the coat-it, it's a lot slicker than the bedliner stuff. However, I have a buddy that Armacoated his drifter, and they said they would guarantee it for life, too. So, if you ding it all up, they'll fix it for free....

I have been thinking about doing this to my sled trailfer and wondered how it worked out for you on yours. I have graveled the fenders on mine pretty well and want soemthing that will stand up to abuse better than paint.

I had a Rhino sprayed in my new truck, its great. Stays flexible, will not crack, and very non skid. I looked at all of them, and liked the Rhino for the those qualities. Keep in mind that your liner is only as good as the person spraying it in. One franchise might not do as good of job as another.

Hey Desertdog I did the same thing to my drift boat trailer, just got hammered by rocks from my truck tires, so first I put mud flaps on, and still got rocks pounding my trailer, but kept the rocks off the boat, then had the trailer line x ed and dont have the problem any more, also doing this willl make the trailer life alot longer, it will help keeping it from rusting. rolleyes

Thanks again for the information. I talked to the Rhino shop, yesterday. Got a couple more places to contact on Monday, and then I'll make a decision. The lifetime warranty sounds like a good idea, as long as the business doesn't have a .com after its name wink
