I found on Ebay a video produced in the old Exploration Northwest series on KOMO many years back titled Steelhead Fishing.

It was put together very very well and was interesting watch and see old footage of steelheaders fishing the Hoh, Big Eddy at Tokul Creek and best of all Fortson. To see what Fortson looked like 30 some years ago was worth the $20 in itself.

I had one of those nights in which Mr. Sandman refused to visit about 5 years ago. So I got up a turned the boob tube to find an episode of Exploration NW on, I was thrilled as I rembered watching that show as a child. They took a helicopter in to a remote OP lake, where they caught trout after trout. It was unbelievable the size and amount of trout they caught, to my dismay at the end of the show they emptied 3 potatoe sized sacks full of dead trout on the ground(it was truly repulsive). I really loved that show and the guys wife still sells the videos from that series at many trade shows, yet it is amazing how times have changed. I sure wish a local network would show Exploration NW instead of informercials after midnight.
