Looking for a report from the cowlitz. Anyone been fishing there? How were the water conditions? Is fishing any good in the evening?

Kildux;
Fishing is always good. Catching, well thats another story.
We fully intended to head down there this weekend, but alas, consumed far too much alchol on Friday evening to be able to even move on Saturday. Hopefully, someone will answer your request. I expect it was probably good as we were not there nad thats the way it usually goes.

Guys, the water is LOW! We fished the whole weekend, and caught fish every day except Monday (when the storm blew through). Nice size, running about 10 pounds on the average. I did pick up a 14 pound buck that was a firecracker on Friday evening. The place was pretty much a zoo on Saturday, people were floating through the rapids at the mouth of Blue Creek on anything that would float...air mattresses, inflatable one-man dingys, canoes, kayaks, etc. Things should pick up again in a day or so smile
