Drift Boat- Did you have a little company on the old Sky today!!!! When I was driving home with my limit at 5:45am it looked like opening day of sockeye season at the Sultan ramp. Give me a call when you get home and let me know how you did!

I am jealous, please let us know the report. What a great day to get out, reminds me of a December day.

Grrr, limits before six. Very nice. How'd the water look? That spike on the charts looked muddy but I'd still rather be up on the river than here in my windowless office... frown

I heard that there were news crews up there filming around Sultan. Watch Q13 reports at ten and Kiro 7. Seems like there were some fish caught from what I heard but not as many as there should have been considering that there were close to a gazillion people up there.

Geez it was "Sled City" out there this morning! I was on the bank and every 5 minutes bbbwwwwaaaaaahhhhhh! a sled would go flying through the hole. God I hope it's not going to be like this all month! eek

Anyway saw one wild fish released and heard the usual roomers of fish being taken out of the cable hole and the reformitory area. Just two cutthroat for me. Pleasent day until the monsoon hit.

Good luck guys!

Got off work early today and headed up to the Sultan area. Couldnt believe how many boats at the launch. I spent 2-3 hrs, tossing cheater/yarn and hardware with no luck. A couple boats had a few fish. CanyonMan, are you kidding me! Do you have night vision goggles or something? =) JK

eek All the reports I heard from the Sky today were very very good. eek If this is any sign of the summer-run season that awaits us, June, July and August could be absolutely amazing for local steelheaders!! smile smile

I cant not wait till Sunday when I can cast a fly on my favorite river for the first time in months!

Didn't need any night vision goggles. Started at 5:00 finished at 5:22 to be exact. Six casts, four fish on, two on the bank. 9 and 11lb. hens. All fish caught on Rocket red corky and my magic eggs. I just hope this is an indication of things to come!!!
Good Luck, Canyon Man
