NUTS.
There are summer steelhead and spring chinook in the river. One place Iwold check out is Moonshine park. Moonshine is locatwd up river from the Little town of Logsdon. There are some good holes in the park. The gorge is another place to check out. The Gorge road is located right where you turn into Moonshine park. The Road is owned by GP. They close the road from Wildcat Bridge up during the week,It is open on the weekends unless there is a high fire danger. Wildcat Bridge is the first bridge that crosses the river off of the Gorge mainline. The bridge is off to the left, The mainline doesnt cross it. There are signs there. There is a good hole just above that bridge and there is good water from there down to the park.
The river is opened for adipose clipped steelhead. You can keep umarked as well as marked chinook. If you use bait you will have to use a #1 hook or larger. Sandshrimp is the bait of choice for steelhead. Eggs under a float should tempt any nookers around.
If you get up there on a weekend, Drive up the Gorge mainline. You will cross a bridge and go up a hill. Follw the road up, About a mile or so up the road you will come around a sharp corner with a bridge in the middle of it. The road spilts right after the corner. Take the road to the right, It will go downhill. Follow it until you come to a bridge. Park there and fish downstream. There are some sweet hole down from the bridge. You cant fish for slmon above that bridge.
