Can anyone out there lend me some advise on what sort of setup would be used to fish the
Baker river for sockeye? Any particular lure
or color? And also where to fish this particular river, Any information would be
much appreciated. Thanks

Hey Wish4Fish,I think that I can lend you a hand in trying to attack the Sockeye on the Baker river. If you need any some good advise give me a call (you know the #) or stop in, I'm not to far from your house!

I catch those Baker sockeye on a #8 pearl red or metalic gold lime spin-n-glo with a sand shrimp tail on a 1/0 red gamakatsu octopus hook. About 30" of leader from the swivel to the hook and 10"-15" dropper with enough weight to make a very slow drift, more like plunking than drift fishing. Hope this helps.
