What a madhouse! I have never seen so many idiots! Its bad edicut to run downriggers when 80% of the people are mooching, especially when your fishing so close together. The guys using downriggers were #@$%$#% people up all day long. I had guys run over my line three times and tangle me up on their downrigger ball. Then they get pissed at you and cut your line and they are the ones at fault. It yousto be when this happened the guy using downriggers would be pelted with weights. Since we have a touchy feely society now this was a thing of the past.

As for the fishing that sucked too. I boated one king about 8# and released it. I saw one keepable king caught about 20#, out of about 1,000 boats. I talked to the fishcheckers when I got in and they had checked 5 kings, that was at about 9:30am. Most of thoose fish were under 10#, so they wernt really adult kings, I would have thrown them back.

Had to go out and do it but Ill be glad to get back on the river in the days to come. I wont be back out there till the silvers are thick.

As for the silvers, there was a few of them also. That was the only good thing I saw all day. It still really early and some of the fish were 8 to 10#. Thats just a good sighn for things to come.

The funny thing was that when we got to Olsons at 3:00 am they couldnt stop talking about how many nice Kings were out there. I had a feeling they were Full of $h!?. The king fishery out there has never been that good in the first part of July but there yousto be a few fish..............

Hang in there. Holler my way when you want to go harass some summers over there. Sounds like fun.
