I've been out on lake washington the last few days pleasure riding with the wife and friends. I've caught 4 boats with downriggers out, chrome dodgers glistening in the wind, and one guy even openly admiting he had 4 in the boat...he was the guy fishing with 2 riggers all by himself...yes two rods going!!! mad mad mad

NOW you know who you are, I suggest you knock it off! Otherwise next time I catch ya I'll turn you arses in. You wouldn't like your boat and rig getting taking away, besides I'll post a picture of it getting hauled away in this forum so peeps can see whos ruining the fishing before we even get to fish for the sockeye!!! frown

I was out on the Lake fishing on Sunday, but not for sockeye. We ended up with 5 cutts, one rainbow and one over-sized kokanee. All the cutts were in the 16-20" range, the 'bow was a good 20 incher, and the kokanee was your typical 7-8lb fish. All fish were released. Heard of one 25" blackmouth C&R'd.

Was using the Army Truck Coyote Spoon at 75 feet. No flashers were used (or are ever used). Used a 7' GL3 spinning rod with a Shimano 1000 with 6lb test. There were about 6 boats fishing in our area (near the big white NOAA research vessel across from Magnusun). No one was using flashers, bare hooks, or kept any sockeye. The true "Boys of Summer" on the Lake are after the cutts. All else are just posers.

Those folks are legit as you described, I'm talking about the boats up by the 520 bridge and in the west mercer channel towards the south end bare hooking it with dodgers. wink

Losers! You should have called the Cops on them...ar at least verbally abused them! wink

I'm guessing that if there is a fishery, it will probably be late next week. Probably a 3-4 day fishery with a 1 fish limit. Just my guess, though.

Hopefully, the 1 fish limit will keep people off of the Lake. Yeah, as if!

I agree with parker. I am all for helping newbies but if they don't read the regs. well thats just their own fault no warnings just turn them in. There are too few fish as it is. Besides if a guy had a limit he knew what he was doing and probably knew it was still closed.
Poachers are scum.
