Folks,
I'm thinking of heading to the N. fork Lewis for Steelies this weekend and need some info. Can any of you Washingtonians help me out?
- Where can you get a liscence at 5am on a Saturday or Sunday in that neck of woods?

- How has the river been fishing?

- Any closures, low water, obstructions to look for?

- any one know of a shuttle service?

thanks in advance.

I have been drifting the river alot the fish are all through the river. More from the first hachery down. Some nice natives are showing. C&R please! Nothing to worry about as far as hazards go if you are drifting. Lots of real shallow runs if you are in a jet. There is not a shuttle service yet but the folks who opened the FISHERMANS DEPOT ( new tackle shop in Woodland) have been talking about it. You may want to as them. They just may be willing to help you out. As to the AM fishing licence no place in Woodland can help you out. Good luck with the fishing. laugh

I fished the N. Lewis last weekend. There's a new tackle shop in Woodland across from the river, about 1/4 mile past the grocery store on the left. They were very helpful, and super nice people. Fisherman's Depot is the name. The proprietors are Jeff and Lynn. Kevin and Brian were also very knowledgeable. I think they open at 6 am. They have live crawdads! cool $4.50 a dozen. They also sell 1/2 dozen. If you're there, tell them Vinny said "Hi and Thanks again." If you would get their phone number for me. They've only been open 3 weeks.
Good luck. Let me know how you did.

Kalamabama or Vinny, is this Fisherman's Depot located where Larry's used to be before they went out of business? I haven't been up that way since like last winter. Just wondering, thanks. KB out cool
