I am thinking about buying a bow mount electric trolling motor for a small sled.The problem is that I want to put it right where the anchor rests.Anybody know of a solution?Do I have to mount the electric on center or can it be off to the side a little as with a stern mounted kicker? Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

LS: I have a small sled and have mounted a bow mount just off center. I do not know the shape of the front of your boat...ie a sharp v or?. On my boat, the motor shaft drops to the center when lowered but when not in use it is out of the way. I have a roller mount in the center. I place the anchor in the boat when using the motor. I also installed one of the plates minn kota has to facilitate removing the trolling motor when I do not need it.

GMan thanks for replying.Its a pretty sharp V.My anchor system is a pivoting cylinder type where the anchor slides out of the cylinder when it's released and when retrieved enters the cylinder and both are pulled onto the bow deck together.
