I'm heading to Fort Camby this next week with the family to go camping.

Does anyboyd know if its worth the effort to bring my pole and some buzz bombs to throw off the shore???

Hi rookie i,was there 2 weks ago an fished 7 hours an saw 2 fish landed , it sould be better now . by all means take your pole i was off the north jetty . putem, on the bank .

Yes, definately bring your pole. The north jetty is just a skip and a hop from the campground. Leave the buzzbombs at home, just climb out on the rocks and toss a bobber/herring combo. Target the slack tides! If you need info on the rigging, pull up my old post titled "chinookies and ho's off of the beach". The local tackle stores and the campground store have all the essential gear. Warning: the jetty can be a dangerous place for small kids and less than mobile adults. Bring a net with a longer handle. Have fun and give us a report when your back. You can e-mail if you want more tips about the jetty.

If you take some black/white and chartuese plastic worms and 1/2 or 3/8 jig heads you should be able to have some fun with sea bass and lingers there also
