I haven't fished out of Port Angeles yet this year, but this is the report from the local paper. It says the pinks are dominating the catch and there are a few silvers, but not many. It says it's almost a guarantee to get pinks. I would just keep going to Sekui and catch silvers if I were you . ~ Dr Pepper

Hey Don,
I went to the meeting of the Puget Sound Anglers North Olympic Peninsula Chapter on Thursday night. The local reports (Sequim and Port Angeles) were just like Dr. Pepper said, lots of pinks, guys were having trouble getting down through the pinks to try for coho. The pinks are large, though, as big as 8lbs, and plentiful.
I've fished out Sekiu way a bunch of times this year, it seems like that or Neah Bay would be a better bet for nice coho, at Sekiu the coho were as big as 10lbs last I heard, and I think it's still open for kings in Neah Bay, too. I fished out of LaPush last Saturday, and I'd have to say that's my favorite so far, it was the best I've seen as far as size of fish is concerned so far this year... we limited seven guys on coho from 8lbs to 15lbs in about three hours, had one incedental king (25lbs) and that was with throwing back 30 or so unclipped or small fish... plus, we then went bottomfishing, you can still keep lingcod (2) and rockfish (10), something to keep in mind, because in Sekiu, lingcod is closed and rockfish is a one fish limit. I just wish LaPush was still open for halibut, we caught about a 50lb'er that we had to put back.
Good luck.

DonSalmon,
Yeah, I was afraid to bring my boat (19' Custom Weld, very sturdy but fairly flat bottomed) to LaPush before last weekend, that's why I went on a charter boat the first time. Now that I've been out there, though, I'm planning on bringing my own boat out at some point, you definitely just need to watch your weather and pick your day, and I agree with Slab, you need to have a GPS and know how to use it... the fog could get bad.
