West Point - good AM bite today till 9am, then it went dead. Caught 2 silvers and 1 blackmouth, lost 2-3 others. My depth - 65 feet, green hoochie and green flasher. Saw a fair number caught by both downrigger and longliners. Should improve as the high AM tide goes later into the day (was 7am today).

What are they hitting on?

Green flasher/squid combo?
Plugs?
dodger/herring?

Sounds like I might depart Alki and head north to westpoint, then to Edmonds.

Been getting limits of silvers and kings to 20# off the mouth of the Puyallup on cut plugs behind a green/silver Hotspot at 80 ft on the downriggers. Even if you get a pink down here, ya gotta let'em go. Going to the San Juans this morning, be back Sundy AM, but the Basin where I keep my boat by Pt. Defiance is closing Monday until the first, so I guess I'll miss out on the rest of the Sept. silvers. Good luck. frown

A good morning bite at Jeff Head on Sunday, got 8 for 4 anglers. Most fish were 4-8 lbs., but lost a slab that would have gone 15, and saw several other really nice fish netted. Biggest fish seem to come form 30-40 feet down.

Interestingly, all the fish we got at Jeff Head were unclipped, yet the earlier in the week the bite was good between Yeomalt and Winslow and all those fish were clipped. Seems like the natives and hatchery fish are moving in seperate schools.

Hey 8 FOOT,

My friend limited on ten pounders in front of
Edmonds this morning using the new "Cop Car"
coho killer spoon by Gold Star trolled fast
with a flasher. You should be able to get them at TED'S SPORT CENTER in Lynnwood.

Fished Sunday at West Point. It was slow for us - missed one fish there and another at 4 mile rock. Didn't start till 7:45am. I told my buddies that we could have had three in the boat by now! They're good fishin buddies but not hard-core. frown
I din't see many fish caught. Will be going out again Wednesday - maybe I'll try Jeff Head? Any suggestions?

Just got back from the San Juans. Fished the oiutside of San Juan island yesterday and this morning at eagle Pt., and got silvers and pinks. Silvers to 12#, both bucks and hens. Had to let a lot of unclipped fish go, fishing at 120 ft with green Hotspot and pink mini hootche.

buddy and I took his boat out of Mukilteo this morning. We got a 4lb and 11lb silvers.
Caught them by Scatchet Head (???), think that was the name of it. I was along for the ride. laugh
Seen lots of nets there for a while, then it went dead.
From what eveyone on the radio was saying, yesterday was the day to be there, that figures. mad

fished the scatchet head side of possession from 10:30 to 12 on Sunday--no fish. Then went over by the green can on possession pt and got one decent silver and a pink (12:30 to 1:30).

Fished with Cigar over by Edmonds on Sunday. We were off the water by 10:00ish with our limits of cohos. The usual flasher & hoochie combo did the trick. I forgot to try out his Cop Car spoon. Oh well. Did not see many caught, but most boats had a fish or two.

This is the same pic as posted from yesterday. Largest fish was 14.6 pounds. Cigar's fish were both in the 8-10 pound range.

Was out Monday at high tide near Edmonds around Noon til 4pm. SLOW! We did hit two fish and even heard someone from another boat say "wooo hooo, those guys in the sled got one".( thats us ) That told me right there the leftovers from the morning crew didn't do too well.
