It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

There are plenty of marine areas that allow for retention of unclipped silvers. If you read about areas 1 & 2, then you're only getting a small part of the regs. Each area is different, and you should read your area rules carefully before you go out.

Believe me, parker reads the regs and is familiar with what is legal and what isn't.

I'm sure Parker knows the regs a whole lot better than I. That's why I was confused by the picture of him holding two beautiful wild coho. I couldn't believe he would take two fish illegally. Much to my relief, he has not. There appears to be marine areas where wild coho are allowed to be taken, despite the press release which indicates that the restrictions on wild coho are "coast-wide". Consider me educated....

Hey 4x4 wher'd ya go??? If you need more pictures just let me know...
It's amazing that a guy can post success and get critisized. Isn't that what this board is for?? To better those that need the help and help people in the right directions as far as which rivers are producing.
Let me ask you this, if I posted and said I only caught one fish out of the lewis and lied to everyone would you get on the bus and head for all the excitement or does 39 hook-ups in one day excite you a little more. Most likely you'll be a bit more excited to fish a river that is producing big time, that is for those who have it dialed in... The fish are there, just go get them.

Keith: those who know you know that you are a fish catchin fishing fool...those that don't generally find it hard to believe that someone can catch as many fish as you do.

I am glad you and rt are getting together and fishing this week.

Good luck and if you need a nb let me know.

Keith, first off let me say I don't know 4X4 and have no idea who he is and don't want to sound like I'm defending him, but, I've been reading and posting here for a couple years and I have know doubt you catch alot of fish, that being said, you sure seem to want to make sure everybody knows it, I know some of it is to inform but I think alot of it is you beating your chest, making sure everybody knows you catch 47 fish at least every time out. After 30 years of fishing I've learned that the best fisherman I know don't have to say a word, and the ones that do are either full of sh!t or just jerks, sometimes both.

Nice fish Keith. I only hope you fill your tag before the Flotilla or teach RT how to catch fish on your trip Thursday. wink Have him leave the pink worms at home, they distract him from "proven" methods. laugh Let me have it Steve. :p

Actually there may be more hatchery silvers out there in the mix than we are seeing. The Quil run which is pretty much 100% hatchery should be all fin clipped well it's not. Running 7 unclipped out of the 17 I chose to bonk this year. STHDR1 hey report as you catch'em laugh as long as you are willing to divulge a few secrets. If not report'em anyway as it don't bug me a bit...this being a free country and all. Someone don't like your posts then they have the absolute freedom to not read'em! rolleyes As for 4X4 did I see you last Saturday on the Quill? I mean really... army surplus boots, bib-overalls, no shirt, tattoos, goatee beard and shaved head? You were there with your whole family who likely met and found there mates at a family reunion? Your clan was salvaging bits and pieces of weights, hooks, loose line of all lengths/weights and every scrap of yarn they could find. Gawd they were even sticking the one Zebco between them into a rootwad trying to tickle the fish out. Until then I thought your type only existed on the boob tube! I really did see this on Saturday...and it still gives me something to laugh about after everything else I've seen. laugh

Thoroughly worn out Gooose but

wink recovering! laugh

Sure Troy laugh You are ugly, have no class, and smell bad. But hey, that don't bother me a bit as long as you follow my lead and copy me in Floatilla III. I usually fish layed back and experiment a lot these days. Been there done that with good eggs. But F III is a little different scenerio - I can still get it up for some ass whipping (eeuuw; poor choice of words eek ) . Nah, III will be a fun event; fishing event! ...

And I'm sure Keith will use some 'Dial' on my ass on the NF (geeez, poor choice of words again rolleyes - not the soft soap, but his local knowledge you dirty minded dudes!). And that's cool, I'm always open to learning new things on new rivers. But I think I will finally leave the pink worm in a dark spot this time on the NF (oh sheeyat! I can't think of any appropriate descriptive words tonight that don't somehow sound nasty confused - what's up with that? Ooops, better not try to answer that. Just glad my wife and kids don't read here!!!). See ya Thursday Keith, I'll bring some A-team eggs. Fishes on! wink

Keith,

This is not a dis on you, but I do have a question:

If your boating 108 fish in a day between 2 of you, and I assume you are using your Ultimate egg cure, with the limit being 6 adults, of which only 2 may be adult chinook, what do you think happens to all of the other released fish that took the eggs deep, like they usually do? You must have some secret release method that insures the fish will survive unharmed?

I'm not trying to give you a hard time, or dispute your abilities to catch fish. I guess it comes down to the fact that if I'm going to use a technique that isn't conducive to safely practicing C&R, I'd probably stop fishing when my limit was attained. Again, far be it from me to tell you how to conduct your fishing, but maybe give some thought to the addage "Limit your catch, don't always catch your limit." smile

4salt. I hook 98% of my fish in the corner of the mouth. I guess if you know what a bite feels like, you set the hook a little sooner and don't let them swallow it.

It is refreshing to know that you are so skilled as well Fishhead5. I will sleep easier tonight knowing that all I have to do is learn how to "detect a bite" rolleyes

Keith and James are some of the best fisherman I've ever met. Much like me, they have an unparalleled passion for fishing. Keith runs his boat very well and James stands on the bow and just kicks serious ass. I'm sure they will do just fine on Floatilla III.

They can catch them steelies too! laugh

I'll post this pic again from the trip I made with them in July. Chrome, chrome and more chrome! smile
