Hoping someone can tell me of a takeout suitable for a drift boat in the upper Snohomish. Would like to drift from Monroe down a few miles or so from the confluence if possible. Thanks in advance for your help.

The Kid and I do the Lewis St. to Douglas float. Sounds like this is what you want to do. Watch out for the first big turn just below Lewis St. You'll want to walk your boat past this in this low water. Only BK is crazy enough to row this in low water! Oh yeah, and if you find a Cataract oar, please contact Cascade Bob! wink

The take out at Douglas Bar is probably your best bet. It's not free, though. You will need stop at the house at the locked gate and purchase an annual "written permission" use permit offered by the owners of this private property. It's $25 for the year. Heck of a deal, if you ask me.

Parker. I remember this question coming up a week or so ago and having the same question after reading the responses. WHERE IS DOUGLAS BAR? I looked on what maps I have and it dosen't show up. How about a little elaboration?

By the way, great tip about that first corner. Roundball should appreciate that.
