I want to take the drift boat out for the second time and thought that the nooch would be a good river to float this weekend and was looking for advice about it. can a beginner float a 14 footer down it. and are there any steelhead in there right now.

Seen the nooch yesterday, If your boat draws more than an inch you'll be dragging it down river, too low. Not many people fishing it.

I floated it this summer at 500 cfs and it was pretty bumpy. I think that last time I saw the flows it was around 300 cfs. That is really low. If you do go, float from the gravel bar to Black creek. just watch out for the spillway. Hope that helps.
