Funny.

What did people used to do for fishing information *before* the WWW? Nothing? Sit at home and just wonder?

Get out there and fish! You'll know soon enough if your "in house" information and studying paid off for you.

Look at the hydrograph and try it, most rivers are full of fish right now.

Riddle me this riddle me that if I was a cat not in the hat or on the porch I would lick my paws that are covered with silver blood. With each rain the river runs high then low at the end of the day, the river you seek is not the nooch but 10 miles away....what river am I? rolleyes

Gee thanks Parker. I am over in Ellensburg going to school and I am going to come home this weekend to fish. I was wondring if it is fishable because it would be a long drive for no reason if it was blown out and there are some people out there that would help someone out. I said email me so don't make such a fit out of it.
I have always seen your posts to be positive but why are you picking on me? Does anyone else think that I did something wrong?

I'm still a little confused on your original post question. Call me ignorant, but how does a 1-2 week old fishing report help in your fishing for this weekend? What happened last weekend has absolutely nothing to do with this weekend.

Here's what I know:

*The Nooch was painfully low over the last two weeks.

*Fishing has been slow due to the low water.

*It's been raining, which means the rivers will quickly blow out.

*Depending on how much rain we get, and for how long we continue to get rain, will determine what happens on the Nooch.

*Checking the weather shows it *might* be raining over the next two days. Seeing how our weather changes every 15 minutes, I'd check it often.

*On Friday, I'll check both weather.com and the USGS site for Aberdeen and the Nooch.

*As long as the river is dropping, I will catch fish. Might have to present my gear in different holding water, but I can pretty much guarantee myself that fish will move up with the higher water and will be in the river. It's late fall and there's a ton of fish out there. Give these rivers a little water and they will truly explode.

*Use what you know that works and stick with it. If you're not getting fish, it's probably because the fish are not holding where you think they should be.

If it just showers and not downpours for the later half of this week, the Satsop, Nooch, nd Hump should be on fire. No BS there.

Parker

No need to E-mail. I just came off the Nooch, it is close to turning mud, if it stops raining NOW, this weekend would be OK. When I left the river it was raining HARD!!!!!! Not a good sign!!!

I would have posted something but it seems we are not allowed to talk about anything related to fishing on this site without getting verbally slammed. Unless it is of the most trivial in nature and contains no reel information. Example, yesterday I caught a fish, I would tell you what kind but that might give you to much information and you might know what river I was fishing, so I will just say I caught a fish. Darn I said river, do you think that was to much information?

Lead Thrower - I'm going to be civil and leave the shades on, but I'm gonna give you some advice about your rant and being fishing related =

"Get Over It"

Now I'm going to clue you in since you are NEW here, if you have a question and you are so afraid of being slammed on a message board ( rolleyes ), email questions about a river to some members and see what they say, or just email members and introduce yourself. cool

It's a lot easier to divulge info to people who aren't strangers, and sometimes intimate conversations about fishing (off the board) are even more pleasant than the board. Who knows, you might make a friend or two. I did. cool

Hope this helps you and keeps the tension down.

I've fished many times up passed your way. Absolutely beautiful country. You are blessed so smile.

Hey Yall Watch This-
You will have to forgive me being so sarcastic, I was having a moment but am over it now. Yes, I am new to posting on this forum, but have been reading it for allot longer then I have been a posting member. It's not that I am afraid of getting slammed for posting something, the point I was trying to make but did a poor job at was everyone has become so negative when someone posts anything they do not agree with. It is almost like people are sitting at their computers just waiting to pounce on someone. I am a member of some other boards, non-fishing, mainly hunting and shooting forums and I never see the type of tension or slamming that I have seen on this board. Don't get me wrong, I am not slamming this board, it is by far the best fishing forum/board out. The point you made about talking to members off the board and them being more friendly, I agree. Have had email conversations with a few members of this board and people are much friendlier in a private email. Maybe it is because they do not have a captive audience at that point, who knows. I came to this board to learn information and tips to try to help make my future fishing outings more successful. I go fishing everyday during the week, so I do put in my learning curve time. I get to fish from 3:30 until dark. Some times I catch some and others I do not. Would like to increase the percentage of days I catch fish if possible. I understand people’s problem with the snaggers and their fear that they may be coming to this board to learn where the fish are in the river and not want to post information. That frustrates me because a few bad apples (snaggers) spoil a good fishing forum for the majority. I have no proof but do not believe many snaggers come to this forum to learn about where the fish are so they can go snag them. So when someone does not post information because they are afraid of the snaggers getting the information it frustrates me, hence the reason for my rant. Thankyou for your polite response back.
