Went to the John Day River Sunday with some good friends Jim and Pat from Vancouver. They put on a clinic there and no one was there to watch. Between the three of us we landed twenty Stealhead from the bank on bobbers and drift fishing.

This was a great day and beautiful weather there. Coldddddddd..... morning temps but sweatshirts by noon.

Hey C&E, somedays long drives are worth it! Few anglers and lots of fish. Wish I could do that right now, but won't for awhile. Spooled told me he was thinking about heading up there sometime soon if he got the chance. I hear some of those fish get pretty big too - I've never fished that lower JD steelhead fishery, but will next year.
