I prefer cats. Predator hunting is so much more challenging! A mouse pattern seems to work the best, and the fight from a 10 lb tabby will put any little chicken to shame.

LOL, that is funny! I have often considered trying to catch a duck, but hey, can't bring myself to it. I have heard stories of people coyote fishing. That sounds fun.

I believe that the standard pattern for ducks is the Foster's fake foam flinger, a bread crumb imitation. It is multi function pattern that works well on geese, seagulls and pigeons, as well.
