OK, I admit it. I've been lurking on this site for about a year. Tried to register back then, but wasn't computer savvy enough to get it done. Just been lurking since then.

Anyway, I'm a transplant from Northern Utah, and have just begun fishing for steelhead and salmon the last 4-5 years. As a father of FIVE, I can't fish as much as I'd like, so I do appreciate the wisdom that is passed on this board.

I've been searching for some of these infamous NW zipperlip steelhead streams, but haven't found too much so far. Have found some great hikes into steelhead water, but nothing that would qualify as secretive..... yet.

I did run into Little ZoZo on a stream earlier this Summer right after reading one of his more lively posts. I appreciate the info he's shared, and I appreciate the general info from some of the folks like Andy, Parker, and RT. Thanks, Bob, for providing the forum.

So, as I continue to post, I'm sure I'll have way more questions than answers, but I'll help where I can.

If you see a guy 6'8" wearing a camo cowboy hat while fishing, stop by and say "howdy".

Tight lines, all.

Dan

At 6'8", I doubt that the camo cowboy hat is gonna help hide you from much of anything. But also at 6'8" if I do see you I will come over and say HOWDY (sir). Glad to see that you managed to figure out our secret handshake and got onto the board.

Hey Fisher Dan...

I have five kids as well. Man the time is almost impossible to put on the water. 2-3 times a month tops. I usually try to take my 12 yr old son who enjoys fishin.

We should connect sometime and fish some streams.

Good to see you on the boards.

Northern Utah Dan? Hey, does Stockton rock or what? He rocks! 6 ft. tall, white, 39 years old, and still leads the NBA in assists per minute played. And one of the few point guards to consistently shoot above .500! Geez, they have been writing his and Malone's retirement anouncements about ever since they turned 35. Malone at 38 is still great! And he owns property on the Kenai River, AK. Bankfishes it with sleds running by his place all the time.

Anyway, welcome to the Pac NW and our cool feeshin'. wink

Thanks all, for the welcome to the board.

RT, Karl Malone was my favorite player for a LONG time. Aside from his on court skills, he's been an excellent citizen in the community. I've seen some pics of him on some hunts that made me jealous...

Padre, I'd love to take you up on the offer to hit some streams sometime.

Tight lines.
