Mine is to.
Hook a winter steelhead on a fly and hopefully
land a 20lb. fish. Came close on the latter so maybe this year I'll do it. And finally fish some of the Oly-Pen rivers.
So what's your's?

Have a better brat season early, and fish some more on the Oly Pen for the later big nates. Maybe we can get someone to take us down a river up there Stew. It's great.

1) Land a 20# steelie...Might be tough with most rivers closed after Feb.

2) Also, have a good early season. take home a few brats for the grill

3) stay dry...no more leaky neoprenes.

For all of us.... CNR wild steelhead!!!

The goals for the season are endless, but here are some of my main goals:
- 20#+ of course!(got a 24# when I was 8, and haven't landed one since)

- Become more effecient with jigs

- Learn some new rivers, the Green in particular because I can fish between classes

- Spend as much time on the water as possible

My main goals are to

1: Just plain catch more fish
2: Learn and master another technique besides float fishing
3: Most importantly not forget anything like I always do

My goals for this winter are:

To spend more time fishing. Maybe go next weekend or the weekend after. I want to catch a brat. Need to finish getting the Christmas lights up first.

Make sure I land the winter steelhead I hook and also to hook more. Release the natives.

Go fish with my buddy in his driftboat.

Go on a guided steelhead fishing trip on the OP.

Winter steelhead fishing is alot tougher than summer steelhead fishing. Half the daylight, colder and wetter(rivers blow out more often), winter steelhead don't bite as agressively as the summer runs, more fishermen, harder to see and spot where the winter steelhead hang out.

Catch my first Winter steelhead. I have only caught summer-runs. Now that I live a few miles away from a number of good winter steelhead streams, I'll get a chance to catch a few.

I have 2, 1 of which was achieved yesterday. The first is to become more proficient at bobber and jig fishig. The second was to put my Dad who is 77 on his first steelie, that one happened yesterday, a nice 12 lb hen on the Cow.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff laugh laugh
