What are some of the rivers with real late silver runs? Any have good numbers of bright ones after thanksgiving? I happen to like the taste better than steelhead. I appreaciate any suggestions. SdB

Try the cowlitz at the barrier dam, was there friday and banked 6 chrome hens. Early morning bite so get there earily, after around 10:00am it is a snagfest.

I know a number of people who disagree, but I happen to favor the flavor of salmon as well.

Fished the Kalama and stopped by the Cowlitz (Barrier Dam) this weekend. The bite was on from first light until 9:30. I didn't see any really bright fish, but some nice keepers none the less. There are a lot of people at the Cowlitz (and almost as many fish). Saw fish being caught all the way up until I left at noon.
