Exceptional ocean conditions created an abundance of feed for these gluttonous fish.

The ocean conditions and the fact that in BC, they are not netting them on the coast allowing them to get through.

The 27 pounder shrunk about 4 pounds by the time it got to a certified scale.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Current freshwater coho record is 23 lbs. 8 oz. from the Satsop. Brad's just holding that thing way out there like you do RT.

I remember an Aberdeen fisherman catching a 27 or 28# silver on the Satsop in 1986, I recall there was mention of it in F&H news. I realized that does not make it a true story, but I talked to the guy shortly after he caught the fish.

Man, those are some nice hoggies. But check this out from The Columbian, Vancouver, Washington's newspaper:
"Woodland angler comes close to coho record It's not a state record, but Jacob Blake of Woodland didn't miss by much. Blake caught a monster coho from the Lewis River Saturday. It tipped the scales at 24.34 pounds when weighed on Monday. Washington's state record for a coho, just caught in late September, is 25 pounds, 5 ounces. Blake's coho was 36 inches long with a girth of 203/4 inches. He caught it backtrolling a Flatfish near Lewis River Golf Course."
Right here in MY backyard! Like to see the pics of that fish. Was the guy that caught this fish on your boat Keith (Stlhdr1) and James (Perfect Drift) I bet! :p

the salt water record that was caught in late september is 25 pounds 5 ounces. the current record is 23 lbs. 8 ounces. as soon as the paper work catches up, it will be 25 pounds +. the old record was caught in january, so there is lots of time to catch some bigger ones. the 25.27 lb silver i caught was 36" long and had a girth of 24.25". i caught a 37" with 24" girth the week before.
