Ok call me crazy!!!! I am not even done with my frame and I already put a hole in the new tubes!!! thanks to the wind and a small metal rod. the hole is very small. about the size of a tooth pick. but they havn't even seen a river!!!!

What now? the tubes were custom made by Sotar. should I just use the patch kit they sent with the tubes or should I send it to them? I would think it would be under warranty.

dc confused

I wouldnt even think about pathing those tubes, how much did you pay for them? I would take them back and explain what happened. They are brand new and they shouldnt have a whole in them before you use them,.

Damn I have replied to alot of topics already!!!

First, find out what their replacement policy is for what had happened. If they say they'll fix it, just send it in, then do it. If it's gonna cost you a fortune because they won't cover it then do the work yourself.

They should do it for free, but make sure. Not sure what Sotar's policies are.

Hey bro, Are you building your own cat? How did you put the whole in it? You weren't by chance fitting and welding the frame on top of the tubes.....Were you?

Ok. I did leave out the good stuff. I have the tubes sitting on a large flat bed trailer. we had a wind storm and one of the tubes rolled over the side. and dropped about 30" to the ground where we had some scrap metal next to the garage. it met a small metal rod that had been cut and was VERY sharp. I know it should have never been left where it was but it was and now I have a small hole (the size of a tooth pick) in the side of one of my brand new tubes.

I sent Sotar an E-mail explaining exactly what happend. They explained their warranty and it's not covered. but they would be glad to fix it for me. All I gotta do is send it to them, pay S&H and give them $23.00 I might try and see if I can patch it myself. O's mentioned something about a liquid urethane. I sent a reply letter to Sotar and asked them about it and we will see what they say.

thanks for all the help guys,

dc laugh
