i just got a 4-fish limit of hens at minter creek, and got them drying on newspaper, ready to cure them. but i got a questin for you river pros. i got a mess of coho and chinook eggs from the summer and fall. there frozen. i cleaned the blood and dirt from the skiens. are they any good anymore, like worth curing or just toss them out and go back to minter creek. or is there some special procedure to do with frozen eggs. much thanks, Ben wink

Ben,
Good job but never eek freeze eggs before curing them. The reason is as they freeze little tiny crystals will punture the egg membrane and once they're thawed they will TYPICALLY be soft and after cured, fall off the skein especially if they've been frozen for a long period of time.

I'd recommend experimenting with a couple of pounds or so and see how they set up after curing them for a day or so. If they stay mushy, I'd toss them... frown
