can anyone tell me tell me the directions to blue barrier dam or where i can find them on the internet. my cousin is comeing from new england and he wants to try the cowlitz. i am mainly an penninsula kind of guy so never had a reason to go down there. thanks Ben

take i-5 south to exit68 to hwy.12. go east about 5 miles to Ethel. there's a sign there for the trout hatchery ,turn right at the sign. follow this road until it curves to the right,it's like a 'y'. take the left road(it's a left turn but it looks like you're going straight,kinda weird,watch out for cars coming north). follow this road to the stop sign then go left 3 miles or so and there's a sign for the trout hatchery,turn right and head for the boat ramp parking lot. there's a trail at the far end to blue creek.
if you go to the salmon hatchery,barrier dam,stay on hwy 12 about 15+ miles until you see salkum library, on the right,turn right on fuller road right before the library,and go to the end. turn left at the stop sign and keep to the right down the hill.at the bottom on the left is the salmon hatchery but if you go straight you'll end up at the boat ramp by the barrier dam.
