...where you spend more time in the trees, snagged on the bottom and rerigging then fishing?? Ever have one of those days where you were corked and then the moron proceeds to hook a fish?? Ever have one of those days where it seems that everything that can fall out of your pockets and into the river, does?? Ever have one of those days where the aforementioned crap all happens in one day?? Grrrr...well there is always tomorrow!

Tings like that only happen to people like you. We have names for people like you. We call them... CRACKER!!! Ha Ha!!! Just Kidding
Who hasn't had a day like that (even the best fishermen feal like a Cracker on those days). The part you forgot to mention was those days ussually happen when it is 40 below and your fingers are too stiff to tie knots and the guides in your rod ice up so you can't cast very well. Then after hours of frustration you have to take a leak and fingers are tooo cold to unzipped your fly.
Man I hate those days!!!

I call them bad fishing days. nothing goes right.Im not going to make a long list of all the bad things that have happend to me. Ill just say those days usually start by falling on my tail in ice cold water or catching my waders on a fence. I feel your pain!!!!!

Yeah...I just love the one where you wade out into swift water waist deep to get the perfect angle for casting a spinner into the perfect slot in the tailout. Hook little Ike and as you stumble for shore one of your boxes...usually with all your prize spinners and spoons pops out of your vest into the river....crap . Gooose

You can usually tell when it's going to be one of those days when you rush out to retrieve your driftboat, that does not have the drain plug in, with your hip waders folded down below your knees. Once you finally drain all the water out of your boat and boots and make it down to the first hole your fishing partner casts to the sweet spot and you realize he has caught your pole when casting and it is going down the river out of sight. Makes that tour of the rose gardens with Ed Hume that my wife wanted to do that day starts looking like a good idea. Thank goodness I always bring 3 or 4 rods and reels. Steelheading, you gotta love it.

or when just after you get your backlash out see a huge fish swiming then try to make a cast to it but are so panicked you do it again then the fish grabs it and busts you off. That sucks! Tyler

What really sucks is the log jam you were climbing over gives way and you fall on a green branch that doesn't break and you do. I did that on the Boulder river one summer. Broke my breast bone. It only hurt when I tried to get up after trying to sleep at night or trying to drive. It ain't no picnic. Jim s.

Hey Ryan....this is a great thread. There have got to be some real tear jerker funnies out there. I remember the year that we lost our trolling motor in Tillamook Bay..no one realized it was gone until we had been anywhere and everywhere in the bay..... And I can remember the time I cast a line and hooked a bird....now I felt sorry about that. And I also felt bad about the time when my hubby got his white with red interior Chevy Impalla stuck when launching the boat at Depoe Bay...By the time we waited for the tow truck owner to finish his breakfast, the tide came back in....he wanted to be paid because we got him out of bed...

Glad to see I'm not the only one to have these types of days occasionally. Part of life, part of Murphy's law: if it can happen it will. I have a Bro-in-law that sunk his d-boat in a stretch of river he has seen me go through 100s of times. First time he does and a tree branch catches his anchor rope on top of the anchor bracket. He tries to free it and it drives the stern under. Next thing ya know and "The Fat Lady is Singing" cause it is all over..... Posh II, losing a trolling motor like that had to hurt - mentally. Not much ya can do after that but call the insurance company... x

Posh- I've had days much worse then the one I described...it seems that dark clouds like to follow me around on my fishing trips. Andrew- Like Vic, I am also thankful we made it down the river that day. Oh the joys of hauling a driftboat around Double Rapids, oh the fun of getting stuck, midstream, on a rock in whitewater and watching the side of the boat dip down in search of a big gulp of water. What I dont get is why, when we were hauling the boat around the first rapid of Double Rapids, why the Hell you made me take the bow while you two 250 pound men took the stern.

How about the day that my electronic ignition board decided to give up as I was nearing a good fishing hole. I tossed out the anchor and when I was grabbing my gloves out of my coat pocket my 100$ Ruana Knife flies out with it and splashes down into 10 feet of murky water. I still cry about that from time to time.
