I am still looking for some white backer rod. I will try the grey stuff but would really like some of the white. Doug Kelly I'm not sure how to get a hold of you but if you could spare even a foot it would be great

try using the airheads, the foam cells used for making aeroflys and aeropuffs. These are a little smaller than what some people use for rags, but they have better action than plain backer rod and you can always put two together or put a spin n glow on top of it ( very good)if you want a larger profile. I personally think these catch more fish than the backer rod rags.
